Red Ants evictions in Johannesburg
During the year 2017, the city of Johannesburg municipality, under the administration of Mayor Herman Mashaba conducted mass evictions in hijacked buildings in the city. One of the buildings included Fattis Mansions, where 257 Residence were forcibly evicted. This event led to the closure of several roads, as residents' belongings were removed to occupy the streets.
